Knotari started with a simple idea: beautifully made rugs shouldn’t feel out of reach. Too often, exceptional handmade pieces are hidden behind traditional showrooms, while the broader market is filled with mass-produced alternatives that sacrifice character and craftsmanship.

We set out to create a more direct connection between skilled makers and the homes their work is made for. By partnering closely with experienced workshops and artisan communities, we focus on thoughtful construction, quality materials, and the details that give each rug its distinctive character.

Our rugs are made using time-honored techniques, from hand-knotting and hand-finishing to careful washing and detailing. Natural fibers, considered textures, and skilled craftsmanship come together to create rugs designed not simply to decorate a room, but to become part of it.
